Waller Creek Conservancy

As Chief Executive Officer of the Waller Creek Conservancy, Peter Mullan leads the Conservancy in its mission to create an extraordinary chain of parks along a restored Waller Creek, in partnership with the City of Austin, for the benefit of all. Under his leadership since 2015, the Conservancy has raised over $158M in public and private funds towards design and construction, and in 2017 broke ground on the first phase or the project at Waterloo Park.

Prior to his role with WCC he served as Executive VP of Friends of the High Line from 2004-2014. Mullan was responsible for all aspects of the physical development of the High Line, including planning, design, construction, and collaboration with the City of New York. An architect by training, from 1997 to 2004, Peter was a designer at Polshek Partnership Architects (now Ennead Architects), where he led a series of master planning and design projects for universities and cultural institutions.
