Randy teamed with Graham to form Weston Urban in 2012. Randy is responsible for all aspects of the company’s investing and development. The former Vice President of Real Estate at Rackspace, Randy led the cloud computing company’s global portfolio from 2007 to 2011. During his tenure the company expanded to eight data centers in the U.S., Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. In that time the company’s worldwide office footprint grew to 1.5 million square feet. Smith also led the acquisition and transformation of the former Windsor Park Mall into “The Castle,” Rackspace’s LEED certified global headquarters located in Northeast San Antonio. Randy earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia. Randy serves on the ULI Advisory Board, the Board of Trustees for Southwest School of Art as well as the Valero Alamo Bowl Board of Directors. Randy loves old cars, any sport that keeps score, neon signs and above all his wife Rachel and three children: Duncan, Benjamin and Zelia.
